The HITEC Foundation Mentorship Program aims to support and inspire HITEC scholars as they pursue educational and professional goals in the technology industry. By sharing their knowledge, experiences, and insights, mentors provide invaluable guidance to scholars who are navigating similar challenges mentors once faced.
Scholars
HITEC scholars are driven university students dedicated to advancing their personal and professional development in the technology field.
Mentors
Mentors are technology professionals committed to investing their time to positively influence the next generation of leaders. They leverage their experiences to offer advice and encouragement to scholars, fostering growth and development.
Objectives
- Build a trusted mentor-scholar relationship that encourages open and honest conversations about career and professional development.
- Explore topics that enhance the scholar's educational, career, and professional growth.
- Collaborate on actionable career and professional development plans.
- Set and work towards achieving short-term, mid-term, and long-term SMART goals.
Guidelines
- Dedicate at least 1 hour per month to meeting with your mentor with a minimum of 6 in-person or virtual sessions.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy in all conversations.
